Amelia Earhart was an indomitable aviation pioneer, and the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. In the middle of an attempt to circumnavigate the globe by air, she and her plane disappeared. The house where she was born in Atchison, KS is now the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum.
In 1904, when she was seven, Amelia decided to build her own DIY roller coaster. Around back at the museum they have a sort of replica of it – though the original was meant to have been riskier, starting from the roof of an outbuilding.
Big dreams start small. Keep on keepin’ on.
