In July a gang of us descended on Lough Boora to spend a day cycling around the flatlands of Ireland and taking some pictures. I loved this place. My Mother is from a village a few minutes drive away so I was somewhat familiar with the area having spent big chunks of my summer holidays as a child roaming around the boglands.

The parklands are now maintained as a nature reserve. But it has plenty of remnants of the old bog works to look at and climb all over.
