Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is a large park in Kassel, Germany. It was created in 1696, and in 2013 it was placed on the Unesco list of world heritage sites. The main attractions of the park are the castle (Schloss Wilhelmshöhe, now a museum) and the waterworks. On top of the mountain is a huge pyramid with a statue of Hercules on top. From there waterworks come down the mountain, into the park. Sometimes these waterworks are lit at night.
The park also has a greenhouse, an aquaduct, a pagoda and a large variety of plants, trees and flowers. The museum has a large collection of wall papers, the largest collection of Rembrandt paintings in Germany and paintings by artists such as Rubens, Titian, Dürer, etc.
Unfortunately the pyramid and Hercules statue are currently being renovated.
